bibooks turns text into bilingual audiobooks. A book can start from text you type or paste, a TXT, DOCX, PDF or EPUB file, an original AI story written at your level, or a public-domain classic from Project Gutenberg. You hear each sentence in the language you are learning and in a language you already know, with the text on screen, highlighted as it is spoken.
Your text is split into sentences, and each sentence is machine-translated, currently with Microsoft Azure Translator.
Google Cloud Text-to-Speech reads the sentences aloud, using its Standard voices.
The audio is timed against the text, so the reader highlights the words as they are spoken, and you can tap any sentence to jump the audio to it.
For 15 languages written in non-Latin scripts, you can turn on romanization, which adds the pronunciation in Latin letters under the text.
Every book in the public library was shared by the person who made it, and each one is labeled with where its text came from:
Books made from uploaded files stay private: they cannot be shared to the public library.
Supported languages: 49. You can pair any two of them, in either direction.

I'm Greyson, and I built bibooks because I wanted something I could not find anywhere else: engaging bilingual stories and audiobooks pitched at exactly my level, on the subjects I actually care about, available the moment I want them. Instead of waiting for a publisher to cover my language, my level and my interests, bibooks lets anyone create that material on demand, from their own text, a public-domain classic or an original story written just for them.
