A long time ago, in a village at the edge of a forest, there lived a girl named Mira.
بہت عرصہ پہلے، جنگل کے کنارے ایک گاؤں میں، ایک لڑکی رہتی تھی جس کا نام میرا تھا۔
Mira was not tall and she was not strong, but she was very kind.
میرا لمبی نہیں تھی اور نہ ہی وہ مضبوط تھی، لیکن وہ بہت مہربان تھی۔
Every evening, her grandmother gave her a small lantern.
ہر شام، اس کی دادی اسے ایک چھوٹا سا لالٹین دیتی تھیں۔
The lantern had a warm yellow light.

Mira carried it to the edge of the village and hung it on an old wooden post.

Why do we do this every night?

Mira asked.
