Clara walked down the quiet street on a cool autumn morning. The trees dropped colorful leaves onto the damp stone path. She loved taking long walks before starting her daily work. Her favorite place in town was an old bookshop called The Paper Lighthouse. Its wooden front window was always filled with interesting stories. As Clara walked past, the front door opened with a small bell sound. An elderly man with silver hair stepped out into the fresh air. His name was Mr. Finch, and he had owned the shop for forty years. Good morning, Clara! he said with a warm and gentle smile. Good morning, Mr. Finch, Clara replied, stopping near the entrance. Are you very busy today? the old man asked curiously. Not at all, I have plenty of free time, she answered. Mr. Finch pointed toward several large cardboard boxes near his desk. A neighbor donated many old books yesterday, he explained slowly. I need to sort them before putting them on the shelves. Would you like some help? Clara offered immediately. The old man smiled and shook his head slightly. To be honest, I do not need fast help, he confessed softly. I just really want some pleasant company today.
