The cool autumn breeze blew gently through the small town. Everyone was excited about the annual feast at the community centre. Leo walked down the bright street carrying a heavy wooden basket. Inside his basket was a warm homemade roasted squash pie. Mia walked beside him carrying a large bowl of lentil salad. I hope we made enough food for everyone, Mia said softly. Leo smiled and reassured her with a confident nod. There will be plenty of food on the tables tonight. They reached the brightly lit doors of the community centre. Beautiful cotton banners hung across the high wooden entrance. Inside, many neighbours were already busy setting up the room. Warm music played softly from a speaker in the corner. Long wooden tables stretched from one side to the other. People were covering the tables with cheerful linen tablecloths. A friendly companion dog named Bella trotted past them happily. She wagged her tail as children patted her soft fur. Welcome, my friends! shouted Sam, the friendly hall manager. He was holding a huge vase filled with autumn flowers. Please set your dishes on the main food table. Leo and Mia carried their dishes to the middle table.
