A long time ago, in a village at the edge of a forest, there lived a girl named Mira.
Nekada davno, u selu na ivici šume, živela je devojka po imenu Mira.
Mira was not tall and she was not strong, but she was very kind.
Mira nije bila visoka i nije bila jaka, ali je bila veoma ljubazna.
Every evening, her grandmother gave her a small lantern.
Svake večeri, njena baka joj je dala mali fenjer.
The lantern had a warm yellow light.
Fenjer je imao toplo žuto svetlo.
Mira carried it to the edge of the village and hung it on an old wooden post.
Mira ga je odnela do ivice sela i obesila na stari drveni stub.
Why do we do this every night?
Zašto to radimo svake noći?
Mira asked.
Pitala je Mira.
Her grandmother smiled.
Njena baka se nasmešila.
