The Lantern and the Little Fox

A long time ago, in a village at the edge of a forest, there lived a girl named Mira.

오래 전, 숲 가장자리의 한 마을에 미라라는 소녀가 살고 있었다.

Mira was not tall and she was not strong, but she was very kind.

미라는 키가 크지 않고 힘도 세지 않았지만, 매우 친절했다.

Every evening, her grandmother gave her a small lantern.

매일 저녁, 할머니는 작은 등불을 선물했다.

The lantern had a warm yellow light.

등불은 따뜻한 노란빛을 띠고 있었다.

Mira carried it to the edge of the village and hung it on an old wooden post.

미라는 그것을 마을 가장자리까지 가져가 오래된 나무 기둥에 걸었다.

Why do we do this every night?

왜 매일 밤 이런 걸 하는 거지?

Mira asked.

Her grandmother smiled.
