يعمل كل يوم من الفجر حتى الظهر.
It works every day from dawn to noon.
خطه كان جميلا حتى إن الناس يحفظونه عن ظهر قلب.
His calligraphy was so beautiful that people memorize it by heart.
جاءه شاب يريد أن يتعلم هذه الصنعة.
A young man came to him who wanted to learn this craft.
طلب منه الشيخ أن ينسخ صفحة واحدة كل يوم.
The sheikh asked him to copy one page every day.
مرت سنة كاملة والشاب ينسخ الصفحة نفسها.
A whole year has passed and the young man is copying the same page.
في اليوم الأخير سأله عن السبب.
On the last day he asked him why.
قال الشيخ إن اليد تتعلم قبل أن يتعلم العقل.
The Shaykh said that the hand learns before the mind learns.
